Design Star is a reality series that has been coming on HGTV since 2006. In it, designers that have won there place on the show must compete with each other by designing a space in a room with items that come from just about anywhere. For instance, a mechanic shop, pet shop, or bargain store. The winner will be given their own design show on HGTV.
Vern Yip has been a judge on this T.V. show and he will return as one again July 19 on HGTV’s Design Star 10 pm Eastern Time. He was born in Hong Kong and moved to Virgina where he graduated from the University of Virgina with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He also holds an M.B.A and master of architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Vern Yip owns his own design company in Atlanta, GA called Vern Yip Designs and hosts his show on HGTV called Deserving Design which comes on Saturdays 4:30 pm Eastern Time.
